CJC-1295 with DAC

CJC-1295 with DAC is a synthetic analog of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), chemically modified with a Drug Affinity Complex that binds circulating albumin and extends its half-life well beyond that of native GHRH.

In a 2006 human trial, single doses produced dose-dependent increases in growth hormone of two- to ten-fold lasting six days or more, along with IGF-1 elevations of one-and-a-half to three-fold for nine to eleven days, while repeated dosing kept IGF-1 above baseline for up to four weeks.

GH release remained pulsatile rather than continuous even under this sustained stimulation, a finding that continues to drive research into long-acting GHRH analogs for studying the GH/IGF-1 axis.
