SLU-PP-332

SLU-PP-332 is a synthetic pan-agonist of the estrogen-related receptors ERR-alpha, ERR-beta, and ERR-gamma, transcription factors that direct the gene program normally triggered by endurance exercise.

In mouse studies from Saint Louis University researchers, the compound increased oxidative muscle fiber content, boosted mitochondrial respiration and fatty acid oxidation, and enhanced running endurance without any actual exercise.

These effects were also linked to reduced fat mass accumulation and higher energy expenditure, findings that are driving research into ERR agonism as an exercise mimetic strategy for metabolic health.
