Epithalon (Epitalon)

Epithalon is a synthetic tetrapeptide, Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, modeled on epithalamin, a pineal gland extract studied for decades by Russian researcher Vladimir Khavinson.

In cell culture, Khavinson’s group found that epithalon activated telomerase expression and extended the replicative lifespan of human fibroblasts, and separate rodent studies reported longer lifespan and lower tumor incidence in treated animals.

This body of work continues to drive research into telomere biology, pineal function, and aging.
